We need a clear direction for the future of Christchurch, New Zealand’s second largest city.
“The basics matter, but we can do better than basic for Christchurch.“

It is critical to focus now on issues like sustainability, growth, the environment, and how we want Christchurch and Banks Peninsula to look in 10 and 20 years’ time.
Within the city we have to focus on creating a 15-minute city, where you can live, shop and exercise nearby but also have great connections to the arts, culture, entertainment and major sports events in the CBD. We have a collective responsibility and an increased sense of community pride in our neighbourhoods. We can make good things happen when we work together.
Ōtautahi Christchurch is more than a city – we are a city that includes magnificent Horomaka Banks Peninsula and its communities. (Banks Peninsula is also known as Te Pataka o Rakaihautū, the storehouse of Rakaihautū).
